What is a stratified approach

A

When the study area has significantly different parts. An example might be measuring pebble characteristics at either end of the beach.

What is a random approach

A

Data is collected by chance (random). An example may be picking up stones witch your eyes closed.

What is a systematic approach?

A

The locations of the site are found at equal intervals from each other. An example may be to measure the dimensions of a pebble every 20 metres along a beach.
