The primary teaching of the Qur’an is a monotheistic affirmation of the supremacy of God (There is one God whose power has no limits - Tawhid) and human responsibility to give Allah complete obedience.

The Qur’an is important to Muslims as it is the divine revelation of God, helps them know God’s will and keep their actions in line with God’s will, and to emulate Muhammad who was a role model of sacred life

The traditional accounts of the sayings, deeds and actions of Muhammad

Instructions regarding the performance of daily prayers
His judgement on criminal cases
