Diverticulosis
A
- painless bleeding
- may be massive
- 90% resolve spontaneously
- right sided bleed more often

A
- aneurysmal rupture
- vasculitis
- prolonged exercise
- cardiovascular insult
- IBS
- hypercoagulable states
=most cases resolve on own, 20% require Sx

Mesenteric ischemia: causes/RF

- thrombosis/embolus of SMA
- shock
- a. fib
- > 60yo
- CHF, recent MI
- post-prandial abdo pain
- unexplained wt loss
-survivial 50% w/in 24h

- contain gastric tissues that secrete enzymes that erode mucosal wall
