Activation of Reduced Visibility Operations
RVR stabilized below 2600 (1/2 SM) for a period of 5 minutes.

Termination of RVOP
RVR stabilized at or above 2600 (1/2 SM) for a period of 5 minutes.
Low Visibility Operations
Operations below RVO limits (RVR 1200 or 1/4 SM). Prince George Airport is not certified for aircraft operations below RVO limits.
Non-Essential Vehicle Operations - Aprons
Uncontrolled and not subject to ATC authorization
Non-Essential Vehicle Operations - Taxiways & Runways - Reduced Visibility Operations
Vehicle operations required to support the continuation of routine operations are permitted to continue.
Non-Essential Vehicle Operations - Taxiways & Runways - Below Reduced Visibility Operations Limits
Only vehicle operations required to support the essential safe operation and maintenance of the airport are permitted and restricted to Taxiway Charlie, Delta, Alpha, & RWY 06-24, 01-19, and 15-33.
Essential Vehicle Operations - Operations required to support the essential safe operation and maintenance of the airport authorized by the PGAA during both RVO and below RVO limit
-Snow Removal
-Lighting Checks
-Wildlife Control
-Fuel Trucks
-Airport Authority Maintenance Vehicles
-ARFF/Snow Removal vehicle training
-ARFF vehicles for the purpose of responding to an emergency (no operational restrictions)
Runway Guard Lights shall be used when RVR readings are:
2600 (1/2 SM) or less.
Runway Guard Lights located at intersections of:
-Alpha and RWY 15/33
-Delta and RWY 15/33
-Echo and RWY 15/33
-Foxtrot and RWY 15/33
-RWY 01/19 and RWY 15/33
-RWY 06/24 and RWY 15/33
Enhanced Hold Line markings are located at the intersections of:
-Alpha and RWY 15/33
-Delta and RWY 15/33
-Echo and RWY 15/33
-Foxtrot and RWY 15/33
-RWY 01 and RWY 15/33
-RWY 06 and RWY 15/33
-Charlie and 06/24
-Apron III and RWY 01
-RWY 19 and RWY 06/24
-Air Tanker Base Apron and RWY 06/24
Enhanced Taxiway Centre-line markings are located at the intersections of:
-Alpha
-Charlie
-Delta
-Echo
-Foxtrot
-RWY 15/33 onto RWY 01/19 (RWY entry/exit)
Enhanced markings meaning
Size of paint markings has been increased in width from 15 cm to 30 cm and glass bead has been added.
Taxiway centre-line markings in addition to the increased width of the yellow paint markings and the glass bead have a 15 cm wide black painted outline
Runway Guard Lights may be activated when RVR readings are:
5200 or less.
Road Hold Positions
Not installed and not required for operations at or above RVR 1200 (1/4 SM).
Training for Reduced Visibility Operations
Maintenance and Emergency personnel who need to access the maneuvering area during RVOP will receive annual training on avoiding runway incursions and the meaning of visual aids that are put in place to reduce the risk of runway incursions.
