They didn’t it was still a poor war effort
Why couldn’t the progressive bloc pull out of the war
They needed war credit to be able to sustain themselves both economically and socially (food)
What were the key impacts on the fall of tsarism
Inflation, food supplies, transport, army, the tsar and morale
Why was inflation a problem
People couldn’t afford food or fuel as prices quadrupled and wages only doubled
Why was food supplies a problem
People weren’t getting enough food supply. Also the first of any supplies went to the army before any other Russians
Why was transport an issue
Railways were constantly breaking down with army supplies on them causing them to rot and the supplies to be wasted
Why was the army an issue
There was a smaller army than usual and they didn’t have the correct equipment meaning they couldn’t provide a good war effort
Why was the tsar a problem
He had no central leadership qualities
Why was morale a problem
It was always low and people were angry and constantly protesting
