The water leaving the drainage basin through channel flow.

A
- Summer has reduced rainfall, therefore lower levels of runoff, water can easily infiltrate into the soil.
- Intense baking of the soil leads to soil becoming impermeable, increasing level of runoff.

Water will fall as snow, as it melts in spring it will increase runoff.
