Reckless driving
if the person recklessly drives a vehicle upon a highway or premises open to the public in a manner that endangers the safety of persons or property. Class A misdemeanor
Careless driving.
if your drive in a manner that endangers or that could endanger any person or property. Generally this is a Class B traffic violation that carries a $300 fine. It’s a class A violation if contributes to an accident.
failure to perform the duties of a driver ( Hit and Run)
can be either a felony or misdemeanor crime. It is a misdemeanor if only property is damaged; it is a felony offense if someone was killed or injured. A misdemeanor hit and run conviction will result in at least a 90 day license suspension.
DUII
Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants.
.08 or more of body weight.
(b) Is under the influence of intoxicating liquor, a controlled substance or an inhalant; or
(c) Is under the influence of any combination of intoxicating liquor, an inhalant and a controlled substance.
Class A misdemeanor. Unless it’s your 3rd time in 10 years. Then it’s a Class C felony.
Fines are $1000 for 1st
$1500 for 2nd
$2000 if not imprisonment
.15 or over, it’s a minimum of $2000
$10,000 if the person was driving a motor vehicle and someone was under 18 and 3 years younger than the driver.
Felony DUII
It's your 3rd offense in 10 years. After your 3rd, it will always be a class C felony and a minimum of 90 days in jail.
