Aggravated murder
Receives money or some value for murder.
The person pays someone or gives something to someone for murder.
More than one murder victim.
While torture, the victim dies.
Victim is under 14.
Criminal homicide
the person intentionally, knowingly, recklessly or with criminal negligence causes the death of another human being.
(2) Criminal homicide is murder, manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide or aggravated vehicular homicide.
Murder
Committed intentionally. The defendant was under the influence of an extreme emotional disturbance.
Manslaughter 1st degree
Committed recklessly manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life.
Manslaughter 2nd degree
a) It is committed recklessly;
(b) A person intentionally causes or aids another person to commit suicide; or
(c) A person, with criminal negligence, causes the death of a child under 14.
(A) The person has previously engaged in a pattern or practice of assault or torture of the victim or another child under 14 years of age or a dependent person; or
(B) The person causes the death by neglect or mistreatment.
(2) Manslaughter in the second degree is a Class B felony.
