What are rules?
A standard which individuals are expected to follow (e.g- school rules)
What are changes in law?
Law changes depending on history, culture and society.

What is a legal right?
-Something people can claim by law. The law makes sure that people’s legal rights are upheld
-US Constitution
-Not damaging someone else’s property
What are the United Nations?
-An internal organization to maintain peace+security
Why are rules and laws necessary?
To protect people in society and also keep order in society.
Who enforces law?
Police
What are laws?
A standard set by the parliament, taken very seriously and severe consequences if broken.
What’s the difference between a rule and a law?
-Law=parliament
-Rule=anyone
Each country has different laws, more widespread.
Rules can be made by organisations like schools.
What are economic issues and give 2 examples?
-Anything which involves the economy and money
-wages, unemployment, taxes
What are social issues and give 2 examples?
-The things we do and are affected by in our day to day lives
-health, education, crime
What are political issues and give 2 examples?
-These relate to the governments and how our country is run
-elections, relationships with other countries
What is a law called before it is made?
bill/s
What is the process of making a law?
-house of commons muster it up then show it to the house of lords
-house of lords decline or say yes
-keeps going back and forth if declined (ping ponging)
-once made and accepted by lords it is given to the monarchy
