-always cross between studs or over zebra markings. Dont cross at side of crossing or on zig zag line as it can be dangerous

Give traffic plenty time to see you and stop before you start to cross
Vehicles need more time when road is slippery
Wait until traffic stopped from both directions or if road is clear before crossing
Traffic doesnt have to stop until someone has moved onto the crossing
Drivers should give way to pedestrations waiting to cross and must give way to pedestrations on zebra crossing
Look both ways and listen incase you arent seen and attempts to overtake a vehicle that has stopped
Zebra crossing has flashing beacons
If has a central island its 2 seperate crossings

Only start to cross road when green figure is shown
If started to cross road and green figure goes out you should still have time to reach other side but dont delay
If no signals been provided watch carefully and dont cross until traffic lights are red and traffic stopped
Keep looking and check for traffic that may be turning corner
Traffic lanes may let traffic move in some lanes while traffic in other lanes topped
