What started Creation?
The Bible teaches: ‘God created the heavens and the earth.’
The Fall
When Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate the forbidden fruit, they fell out of favour with God and were told to leave the Garden of Eden.
salvation
saving of the soul and being able to enter eternal life in heaven through God’s grace and Jesus’ sacrifice
Original Sin
the belief held by Christians that human nature is flawed because Adam and Eve chose to go against God’s commandment in the Garden of Eden.

the belief that God is all-knowing

The Christian religious rite that allows people to become members of the Church. Water is used to symbolise the washing away of sin.
atonement
Making amends or payment for a wrong. The belief that Jesus’ sacrifice restored the relationship between God and humanity.
redemption
The action of saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil.
What is the first and greatest commandment?
The Bible teaches; ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart.’
What is the second commandment?
The Bible teaches; ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’
Parable of the Good Samaritan
The moral of the Good Samaritan is that everyone, even those normally considered an enemy, is your neighbour.
Parable of the Sheep and the Goats
Jesus taught that like how a shepherd separates his sheep from his goats, on the day of judgement God will separate the righteous from the unrighteous. The righteous (sheep) will spend eternity with him in heaven, the unrighteous (goats) will be separated from him for eternity.
