what can I do?

A

Officer in uniform or sounding siren , red and blues
can:
1) pull vehicle over
2)demand drivers details(name DOB, addy, phone, owner or car, who is owner of the car)
3) stop them for up to 15 minutes
4) arrest without warrant if fails to stop refuses to supply details, supplies details that you think are fake.

D) Direct a person on a road(whether or not they are in charge of a vehicle) to give details, other deats, info to identify driver.
I) Inspect, test examine- brake lights etc.
M) enter or authorize another person to move it so its not a traffic hazard.
D) Direct the driver to move it so its not a traffic hazard
F) Forbid unlicensed driver to drive
F) Forbid a person who is operating a transport service without a license to operate that transport service
D) Direct (Powers out -direct at traffic lights etc)
If fail to comply can arrest under 116

Section 115

Can you drive?

A

Prohibits vehicles from being on the road.
1) Green stickers- does not comply with regs (expired Wof, crack in windscreen, semi bald tyres, exhaust)
2) Pink stickers(more serious- not in a safe condition)- Bald tyres, Structural damage/ rust , illegal modifications.
If fail to comply with directions under 115 you can arrest under 116

What is Farmed?

A

F) Forbid that person to drive for specific time
A) All keys to be surrendered or
R) Render the vehicle immobile or
M) Move any vehicle causing an obstruction
E) EBA offenders must be forbidden to drive for a 12 hour period
D) Direct that person to drive to a specified place to rest if they have exceeded driving hours etc.

118(1) and 118(2) - owner or hirer to provide identity of drive and identity of passenger within 14 days against any act or offence.
118 (4) - owner to give all info Immediately to identify and apprehend driver against LTA.
