What are the driver license types and differences between them? L and R expire after 5 years.

A

Learners- must be accompanied in front passenger with a person whos had full for 2 yrs. Display 2 L plates
Restricted-must be accompanied in front passenger with a person whos had full for 2 yrs between 10pm and 5am and if they are carrying passengers other than their spouse, dependants or spouses dependants.
All must carry license on them and produce it on demand.

1) What is inconsiderate driving?

2) What is careless driving?

A

1) includes inattention or thoughtless actions or omissions, as well as deliberate ones, which is inconsiderate to others eg- driving at a slow speed as to hinder traffic. Not moving over to let lines of traffic past.
2) Falling below the driving standards of a reasonable motorist eg- hitting a parked car, indicating left then changing your mind.

A

3) Driving in a manner of speed which was or might have been dangerous to anyone eg - driver pulls out to pass in the face of oncoming traffic, travelling at 80kph at 8.30 am by school in a 50kph zone.
4) Knowingly disregarding ones duty as a driver /deliberately running the unjustifiable risk of injury or collision eg - outrunning a patrol car at night with lights off endangering the public. speeding through a stop sign at 80 knowing they wont be able to stop if they had to.
