IMPORTANCE!! Therefore, ALL INT. LINES = 1-3/4” - Officers of all engines take positions at serviceable hydrants

- Make lines avail I/f/o fire bldg
- Use of booster tank water while ECC hooking up to Hyd =
SPEEDIER OP!!- Officer must be informed when pumper receiving hydrant
water

- AN ENG. CO. ORDERED TO STRETCH A LINE TO TOP FL. OF AN EXP. TO EXTING. FIRE IN CL SHOULD TAKE A 6’ HOOK TO PULL CEILINGS

Thru ft. Door, THEN TO CELLAR VIA INT. STAIRS to Exting. Fire
IF CANNOT BE ADVANCED DOWN TO. CELLAR DUE TO INTENSITY OF FIRE = It is used to protect public hall, Int. stairs AND 1st Fl., allowing occupants to leave bldg. & Lad. Co. To VES.
1st line can be advanced to TOP FL. to cover any extension to that area OR CL AFTER CELLAR FIRE CONTROLLED BY 2nd LINE
* Intervening Fl.’s checked for fire on way up to top fl.
* A M must be stationed on landing to warn of any fire that may
break out below them.

If 1st line advanced into cellar = 2nd line extinguishes any fire ON
1st FL., THEN GO TO TOP FL. TO COVER ANY EXTENSION
TO THAT AREA OR CL AFTER CELLAR FIRE
CONTROLLED
If 1st line used to cover public hall, etc…, 2nd line stretched INTO CELLAR VIA OUTSIDE ENTRANCE TO EXTING. FIRE.

EXTENDING TO EXP.’s VIA CL, SHAFTS & NARROW
SEPARATIONS BTWN BLDGS- Lines should be placed btwn fire & Exp.
- Most severe exp. given priority
- Any difficulty w/advancement of line = Relayed via HT to IC
