How are there more opportunities for crime?

A
  • More targets (e.g. cars, electronics).
  • Reduction in ability of the targets to be guarded (due to how we live).
  • Changes in routine activities.
  • Certain groups have higher risk of victimisation because they are more likely to be away from home at night and associate with those more likely to be offenders.

2) Inertia - the extent to which the target can be removed etc.
3) Visibility - how visible the target is to the offender.
