consist of only firm land and is often found in countryside. It will last for many years.

consists of firm land covered by gravels (small rocks). It’s generally found outside of the city. It will also last for many years.

A
is more complex. It consists of six layers: first, firm land, then statumen, which is made of rocks, then there is rudus (rock and lime). Above it you can find nucleus (potsherds and lime). It is covered by the road surface, made from polygonal stones. Nest to the road there is the sidewalk (edge stones and paved path). People would walk on the paved path.
