Corruption and Scandals

A

Charles Forbes was head of Veterans Bureau and was later convicted of stealing millions form the bureau. Many others scandals surfaced. Many believed that the cause of Harding’s death was due to stress. Harding died in 1923 of a heart attack.

A

Coolidge believed that prosperity for all Americans depended on business prosperity. Americans began to buy new consumer products such as: electric refrigerators, radios, phonographs, vacuum cleaner, and many other appliances.
