3) Reform- targeted the causes of the depression and sought ways to prevent it from happening

1) public works program- (jobs) built highway, parks, bridges, schools…etc
2)federal emergency relief program: gave small amounts money to people until they get work
3) Federal assistance for farmers, businesses and banks
4) SSS- Set aside money for people’s retirement
