Section 163 Road Traffic Act 1988 (Primary power to stop a vehicle)
A person driving a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road must stop the vehicle on being required to do so by a constable in uniform or a traffic officer
A person riding a cycle on a road must stop the cycle on being required to do so by a constable in uniform or traffic officer. If a person fails to comply with this section, he is guilty of an offence

Section 40 Road Traffic Act 1988?

It is an offence to use, cause or permit another to use a motor vehicle or trailer on a road when the condition is such that there is a likelihood of the danger of injury to other road users.
There must be actual danger, which would be obvious to a careful and competent motorist

M – Manslaughter
A – Aggravated vehicle taking
D – Dangerous driving
C – Causing death by dangerous driving
O – Over the limit of alcohol or refuse to provide a specimen for analysis
W – Whilst unfit through drink or drugs
Section 87 (1)
An under-age driver should be charged with and convicted of the offence of ‘driving otherwise in the accordance with a licence’
Road?
Any highway and any other road which the public has access, and includes bridges over which the road passes

Owning to the presence of a MECHANICALLY PROPPELLED VEHICLE, on a road or other public place, an accident occurs whereby; personal injury is caused to a person (other than the driver of that MPV)
OR
Damaged is caused to a vehicle (other than the MPV or any trailer drawn by it)
OR
An animal (other than one in or on that MPV or any trailer drawn by it)
OR
Any other property, constructed on, fixed to, growing in or otherwise forming part of the land on which the road or other place in question is situated or land adjacent to such land.

A person who causes the death of another person by driving a mechanically propelled vehicle dangerously on a road or other public place is guilty of an offence

If a person drives a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road or other public place without due care and attention or without reasonable consideration for other persons using the road or place he is guilty of an offence

Off road driving
A person commits an offence if they without lawful authority drive an MPV on either:
Any common land, moorland or any land not forming part of a road
On any road being a footpath, bridleway, or restricted byway
Unless: They drive the MPV on any land within 15 yards of a road for purpose of parking the vehicle on the land, or is driven there to save life or extinguish a fire
Section 165A Road Traffic Act 1998
Constable in uniform reasonable grounds to believe a motor vehicle is or was being driven with no insurance (S143)
OR
No driving licence / Driving otherwise than in the acordance with a licence
OR
Has failed to stop and there are reasonable grounds to believe the above, THEN THE VEHICLE WILL BE SEIZED
