Section 17 Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984
In order to exercise this power of entry under any of the circumstances, you must have reasonable grounds to believe that the person whom you will arrest or recapture is on the premises that you want to enter.
Section 32 of PACE 1984?
There is a power to search a person under arrest under Section 32 PACE 1984 where the officer has reasonable grounds for believing they may present a danger to themselves or others or have concealed on them items to assist their escape or which might be evidence of an offence.
Section 18 of PACE 1984?

Section 18 PACE covers the power to enter and search premises occupied or controlled by
a person under arrest for an indictable offence if there are reasonable grounds for
suspecting that there is evidence that relates to that, or another, indictable offence which is
connected or similar to that offence

Section 32(2)(b) of PACE provides a power to enter and search such premises following an
arrest for an indictable offence. (includes either way offences)
