The criminal procedure and investigations Act 1996?
provides legislation which lays down provisions for prosecution and defence disclosure to be conducted in stages within criminal proceedings.
Duty to record, retain, reveal (3R’s) and disclosure. Record everything, review everything, reveal everything.
Data protection Act 2018?
Protection of information held on databases, also makes provision for the regulation of the processing of information relating to individuals, including the obtaining, holding, use or disclosure of such information that should not be released to anyone not entitled to see it
Human rights act 1998?
The Human Rights Act gives effect to the human rights set out in the European Convention on Human Rights. These rights are called Convention rights.
Examples of Convention or human rights include:
• the right to life
• the right to respect for private and family life
• the right to freedom of religion and belief.
