What is the purpose of prospecting?
1) Create Navy awareness
2) Gather enough blueprinting information to determine if an individual merits follow-up
3) Fill the applicant log with qualified interviews
What is a prospect?
A prospect is any person who has expressed to recruiting personnel an interest in enlisting or receiving an appointment in the U.S. Navy of U.S. Navy Reserve, regardless of whether that individual is qualified to join the Navy.
What is a Qualified Interview?
Defined as projects who are mentally, morally, and physically qualified, an interview has been conducted documented on the Valor Interview Overlay, and they have a qualifying ASVAB or potentially qualifying APT score. Essentially, QI’s are those prospects who have nothing (uncovered or disclosed) stopping them from continuing the process.
What is an applicant?
An applicant is any person who has commenced processing for enlistment or appointment in the Military Services.
What does TMC stand for?
Target Market Centers
What are Target Market Centers?
Locations where a recruiter can generate new prospects.
What does COI stand for?
Centers of Influence
What determines a COI?
Individuals that are pro-Navy and provide regular referrals to directly assist recruiting efforts.
What are ways to decrease no-shows?
1) Social networking
2) Text messages
3) RinC executive screenings
Who sends appointment verification texts?
The recruiter will send appointment verification texts. The first text will be sent by the recruiter after setting the appointment thanking the prospect for their time and confirming the date and time of interview. The Second text will be sent by the recruiter the day prior to an appointment reminding the prospect of the appointment and confirming that the date and time is still good.
How many appointments must the RinC exec?
The RinC will exec all appointments set by recruiting personnel to limit no shows.
What is the lifecycle of a LEAD?
1) Recruiters are required to attempt contact within 24 hours.
2) Recruiters are required to attempt contact through all prospecting modes within 72 hours.
3) Recruiters will disposition LEADS on the NALTS feedback tab (contracted or disqualified) within 30 days.
4) LEADS that have exhausted all required contact attempts will remain assigned to a recruiter. The recruiter will periodically attempt contact for four months or until final disposition.
