Magha Puja day (Makka bukka day)
Magha Puja Day commemorates an important event in the life of the Buddha, in which the four disciples traveled to join the Buddha.
This day is dedicated to worship and reflection, aligning with the teachings of Lord Buddha.
On the evening of Makha Bucha day, temples in Thailand will host a candlelight procession and a circumambulation known as a wian thian - wian meaning circle around, and thian represents a candle. Those visiting will also join in temple activities to make merit.

Lumpini = where Buddha was born
Bodhgaya= Place of buddhas enlightenment
Sarnath = 1st teaching after enlightenment
Kusinara = place of buddahs death

A ceremony or practice adapted through traditions and presented in all thai societies, celebrates a religion, help people feel confident because after people do something good they will feel like they have better karma.
