- know exactly what to look for in worsening symptoms
- know how to seek further help
- know the expected recovery period

How would you use Hypothetico Deductive Reasoning in a GP setting?
A
- make about four or five diagnostic hypotheses
- rare but no immediately concerning diagnoses can be eliminated at this stage
- strengthen the case for a diagnosis through brief history and examination
- extend the search thereafter if no diagnosis is identified
- not about common diagnoses, rather about likely diagnoses
