Wolfgang kapp gathered 5000 free corps soldiers and took over Berlin.
But they did not have the support of the workers who went on strike.
After 100 hours kapp fled abroad and Ebert returned to power.

After kapp fled abroad the left wing workers in the Ruhr stayed on strike and took over several towns.
Ebert sent soldiers and some free corps to deal with them.
1000 workers were killed.
