What did Hitler want to use the school system for?
To indoctrinate and brainwash young Germans into loving and idolising him.

Students would mainly learn about key German victories and how they were treated at the end of the war.

Students focused on the countries of the world that Germany would soon conquer.

Lessons focused on weapon making and chemical warfare.

What was Eugenics?
A race studies lesson where students were taught mental and physical characteristics could be improved by choosing who could become parents. They were also taught about the inferiority of black people and Jews.

Join the German teachers league where they would identify future nazi leaders from their students.

How were university courses changed?
They needed to reflect nazi beliefs. Physics did not include Einstein becasue he was Jewish.

Train as a soldier
What were boys taught in Hitler youth groups?
Taught military skills like how to march, fight with knives, fire a gun and keep themselves fit.
What did all German girls have to join and what did they learn?
The league of German girls and they were taught how to be good wives and mothers, how to keep fit, cook good meals and look after babies.

Who were the swing youth?
Young people who refused to join Hitler youth and instead went to parties, listened to American jazz and had Jewish friends.

What did the Hitler youth opposition groups do?
Went camping and sang mocking songs about Hitler, attacked Hitler youth groups, helped army deserters, sabotaged railway lines and acted as spies.
