VitD administration: by any route, IM(long lasting), oral(short lasting, acute)
If patient is hypocalcemic: 75mg/kg Ca
Prevention:
elderly, pregnant, lactating, adolescent: 500, 1000U
newborns: 400
sun exposure: 20
VitD resistant rickets type 1( 1a hydroxilas def)
