why do children suffer from poverty?
they cant change the situation that they’re in. they’re dependent on their parents
how can young people suffer from poverty?
they may get bullied, or feel left out as they dont have the latest gadgets or clothes etc
how can poverty be overcome?
- education and training
- counselling
- government help
how do the salvation army help poverty?
they are a christian denomination and charity. they support homeless people with a place to live and they also help elderly people who need help. they give christmas dinners to the homeless through their Christman appeals
why should people play the lottery?
the lottery foundation do a lot of good work, buying a ticket supports this good work
the money won could be used to do good things for charity
people may just play for fun
why should people NOT play the lottery?
gambling can be addictive
gambling is haram in islam
it encourages greed
can lead to jealousy and relationship problems with friends and family
