  1. pt supine
  2. thumb on anteromedial aspect of the dysfunctional rib
  3. with other hand slightly flex head
  4. as pt breathes in deeply resist inhalation and exaggerate during exhalation
  5. repeat 3-5x
  6. Reassess for tart

cephalad hand: hypothenar eminence is medial and inferior to the angle of the dysfunctional rib
—> apply lateral and cephalad traction to rib

caudad hand: grasps ASIS ipsilateral to dysfunction to shorten quadratus lumborum
