Q

Radiological Pattern of Ankylosing Spondylitis

A

Lumbar and sacral spine:
Syndesmophytes.
Romanous lesion
Sacroiliac Joint:
Indistinctness of sacroiliac joint –> subchondral bony erosions of iliac bone –> subchondral sclerosis –> bony proliferation.
Late stages: transverse fractures of lumbojcolumnar and cervicothoracic junction.

Q

Clinical signs of psoriatic arthritis

A

typical patterns:

  1. predominantly DIPs
  2. Rheumatoid-like pattern (with negative RhF)
  3. Asymmetrical oligoarthritis
  4. arthritis with spondylitis
  5. Severely deforming (arthritis mutilans)
  6. Osseous - SAPHO syndrome

skin: search carefully for psoriasis
nails: pitting, onycholysis, ridging, sublingual hyperkeratosis
Dactylics (sausage digits)
