inflamed granulation tissue, seen in RA. Contains blood vessels, fibroblasts, and myofibroblasts (causes dragging of joint in odd directions). Also causes destruction of the cartilage

Triad of arthritis, urethritis, conjunctivitis, young adults esp males weeks after GI or chlamydia trachomatis infection
Psoriatic Arthritis
Seen in 10% of patients with psoriasis, involves axial and peripheral joints, “sausage” fingers/toes due to involvement of DIP joints in hands and feet.
