Synovitis - pain, swelling, heat and stiffness
Symmetrical

Eyes Lung Heart Vasculitis Nodules Joint deformity
What two deformities might you see?
Hyperextention of PIP
Swan neck defority
What is found in 80% of patients?
Anti-CCP antibodies are found
What is found in 80% of patients?
Anti-CCP antibodies are found (higher specificity that rheumatoid factor)

Management
Consider NSAID
DMARD
Give examples of NSAIDs
Methotrexate
Leflunomide
Sulfasalazine
