Hypallage
Grammatical agreement of a word with another word which it does not logically qualify
Ex:come stay with me and dine not
Hendiadys
Use of two words connected by a conjunction , instead of subordinating one to the other, to express a single complex idea
Ex:he came despite the rain and weather
Hyper baton
Separation of words which belong together, often to emphasize the first of separated words or to create a certain image
Ex: passion, there was none
Hyperbole
Exaggeration for emphasis or for rhetorical effect
Ex:I am so hungry I could eat a horse
Hysteron proteron
Inversion of the natural sequence of events , often meant to stress the event, which though later in time, is considered more important
Ex:put on your shoes and socks
