Parallel structure
(n) Using the same pattern of words to show that two or more words or ideas are of equal importance
Antithesis

(n.) Utilizes a repeating term but in reverse order
Anaphora
(N.) a rhetorical device that consists of repeating a sequence of words at the beginnings of neighboring clauses, thereby lending them emphasis
Anadiplosis
(N.) The repetition of the last word of a clause or sentence at the beginning of the next clause or sentence.
Epistrophe
n.) the repetition of a word at the end of successive clauses or sentences
juxtaposition
)n.) the act or an instance of placing two or more things side by side often to compare or contrast or to create an interesting effect
Iitote
a figure of speech that employs an understatement by using double negatives or, in other words, a positive statement expressed by negating its opposite expressions.
hyperbole
(n) exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally.
metonymy
(n)the use of a linked term to stand in for an object or concept
synecdoche
(n.) A figure of speech in which a term for a part of something refers to the whole of something or vice versa.
asyndeton
(n.) the omission or absence of a conjunction between parts of a sentence.
polysyndeton
(n.) The repetition of conjunctions in close succession, especially when they could otherwise be exchanged with a comma
oxymoron
a figure of speech in which two seemingly opposing and contradictory elements are juxtaposed.
zeugma
(n.) a figure of speech in which a word applies to two others in different senses OR to two others of which it semantically (logically) suits only one
