When calculating the nosie temperature of the system, why can we neglect noise contributions from instrumentation that is beyond the IF amplifier?
A
Succeeding stages of the receiver system contribute less noise because the noise contributions from earlier stages saturate any of their contributions with their own noise contributions

How are the signal bandwidth and carrier frequency related?
A
The bandwidth indicates the maximum data that can be carried on the carrier and is specified in bits per second unlike the carrier which is just cycles per second
we can find the bandwith by differencing the maximum and minimum frequency and dividing by 2
