Q

pathologies of CN II?

A
  • the first nerve to be affected by increased intracranial pressure: central retinal v. can be compressed and occluded
  • demyleniation of optic n: CN II is susceptible to CNS demyelination pathologies, i.e. MS.
  • ## Optic Neuritis: inflammation of optic n can be caused by MS, toxic substances, infections, diabetes.
