What was Upton’s view on Cheating?
Upton is ok with cheating because it is widely practiced in sport (normal cheating, from a contractualist) point of view you want to do everything you can to win for your team (maximal effort)

Royce was against cheating.
- Talking the walk is not a question of delivering maximal effort it is a choice thus that argument is invalid.
- In terms of choice Upton is suggesting the “Is/Ought” Fallacy, just because everyone does it doesn’t mean it should be standard practice.

Seifried wrote that punishment was an effective treatment, but his definition was vague as to what “injury” included.

Looking at the authors arguing for and against corporeal punishment what was the “mismatch” that occurred and what did they both seem to be arguing for?
Seifried argued for punishment at elite level while Albrecht seemed to be going after non professional.
Both argued for punishment as practicing fundamental skills but in different ways.
Describe Seifried’s intentions
Seifried does not intend on punishment to create hatred for PA and if properly administered won’t deter lifelong PA (Doc. Double Eff.?)
