Hospital Case Process

Answer 1

1. Secure death certificate (DC), permission to embalm (PTE), attestation of death (AoD)
2. Establish the identity of the dead body and make sure marked accordingly by toe tag or other means
3. Ensure that the dead body is wrapped in a manner that body fluids do not drip
   Cover the head to prevent flies from laying eggs in the orifices
4. Transfer the dead body in an enclosed transport vehicle (do not allow anybody to be with the dead body in the same vehicle compartment)
5. Unload the dead body at the morgue/embalming room with respect and care

Residential Case

Answer 2

1. Confirm if the person is DEAD (check for absence of respiration- refers to signs of death)
2. Secure from the relatives the necessary information for filing out the death certificate
3. Ensure that the body is wrapped in a manner that body fluids do not drip

4. Transfer the dead body in an enclosed vehicle (do not allow anybody to be with the dead body in the same vehicle compartment)
5. Unload the dead body at the morgue/embalming room with respect and care

1. Secure clearance to claim/ transport/ recover (CTR) from proper authorities and document the corpse especially gunshots wounds, bruises, scratch, etc.
2. Establish the identity of the dead body and make sure the body is marked accordingly by toe tag or other means
3. Ensure that the dead body is wrapped in a manner that body fluids do not drip
   Cover the head to prevent flies from laying in the orifices
4. Transfer the dead body ** in an enclosed transport vehicle** (do not allow anybody to be with the dead body in the same vehicle compartment)
5. Unload the dead body at the morgue/embalming room with respect and care
