When two teachers were present to confer with one another the percentage fell right down to 20%.
This was due to having someone else’s opinion it showed that when there is a conflicting opinion on a subject people are much more likely to stand together and feel more confident to go against the experimenter.
Voice study when learner continuously complained-
The person was complaining more tAn before about the level of pain and how they wanted to get out or how they had a bad heart.
When this was present it only dropped to 63% th his was shocking as it showed that not many were showing much empathy for the learner but infact complying with the other teacher more.
Two conflicting authority figures
When two conflicting authority figures were present then the rate of obedience fell right down to 0% this showed that once the qparticipant sensed any bit of doubt at all from the other authority figures it will completely reduce the person to not doing it
Touch proximity condition-
The persons hand was forced down onto the shock plate by the teacher when they choose not to participate after 150volts.
When this facto was present this fell right to 30%.
This was as they were no longer buffered and protected from seeing the consequences of their actions.
Someone rise administered the shock they just told them to - thus is related to AGENTIC STATE.
