> the overall force acting on a point or object

What are the affects of gravity?

> on the surface of a planet it makes all things accelerate towards the ground ( at the same acceleration)
> it gives everything a weight ( forces of gravity acting in an object)

Why will an object weigh less on the moon?
A
> because gravitational force is pulling it less

The object will keep stationary or keep at a steady speed.
