what is the resultant force?
A
a single force that has the same effect as two or more forces acting together

A
an object will remain stationary or continue travelling at a constant velocity unless acted upon by an unbalanced (resultant force)

the forces acting on an object are unbalanced and the movement of the object depends on the size and direction of the resultant force.
