Why were slaves bought to the Cape
A
They were brought to the Cape because the Dutch needed hard labour to grow enough food and crops, but they did not want to do that work so they demanded for slaves

They came from Angola, Batavia, Sri Lanka, India, Mozambique, Madagascar and other parts of West Africa

They were captured through raids and wars, or traded for guns and weapons or they were brought as prisoners

A
They have brought different languages and created a new language called Afrikaans. They have created a mixed ethnic group known as “coloured” in SA. They have bought different religions such as Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism.
