  • Health= helping the asia- pacific region with diseases such as malaria and increase vaccination rates
  • HI= accepting all refugees regardless of how they come to the country UN refugee convention. 1951
  • E= helping to find a global solution to climate change and nature/ land preservation e.g indigenous land

to support the implementation of ceasefire or peace agreements and sometimes to help rebuild and establish order, increase security and establish rule of law

Peacekeeping Missions
Australia has participated in 50 UN missions since 1947
e.g Cambodia and because of the country’s help it led to the Cambodian Peace Settlement

  • PNG = improving infrastructure for health, transport, education, and developing an efficient legal and judicial system.
  • 800 received financial literacy in 2015
  • there are now 900 female magistrates in villages increasing women’s representation in courts
  • 390 classrooms built
  • increase in voter awareness
