What does reporting accidents and incidents include?
A
- It is a legal requirement and they should be reported under RIDDOR
- Should record all incidents to improve safety of others
- If setting has to be closed families must be contacted

What should employers and employees do when an aggressive and dangerous encounters and unauthorised access occurs?
A
- Keep calm
- Speak firmly and clearly
- Alert other staff
- Call police if they refuse to leave
- Keep service users away from incident
- Keep yourself safe

What should be reported?
A
- The name of who person injured
- The date, time and place the incident happened
- The treatment given
- Report should be signed

What is the evacuation procedure?
A
- Alert people in the area
- Call 999
- Staff should help remove people from the building
- Have designated staff to help people with mobility and hearing difficulties and dementia patient get out of the building
- Do not re enter the building until it is safe to do so
- Carry out a head count to ensure everyone is out the building
