What function does the diaphragm perform & where is it located?
A
The diaphragm is a muscle below the lungs that controls expansion and contraction of the lungs. The contraction of the diaphragm causes negative pressure inside the lungs, drawing air into them, and in return, the relaxation pushes air out. It’s a muscle.
