Where is the esophagus?
It’s a long floppy tube that runs behind the trachea and ends in the stomach
What is the epiglottis?
The epiglottis shuts off the opening to your airway ensuring that your food goes down the esophagus.
Reflux
Is the result of digestive enzymes and acids travelling up the esophagus.
What does the RUQ or right upper quadrant of the abdomen include?
The right lobe of the liver (stores sugar & fat, blood clotting)
The gall bladder that secretes enzymes into the digestive tract

Filters blood / immune system
