What is Asthma?
A
Inflammation of the bronchi (which carry air in and out of the lungs) causing the bronchi to be more sensitive than normal

What is an asthma attack?
A
Episodes of wheezing that require the use of an inhaler to open the airway

What causes an asthma attack?
A
Something that irritates the lungs or contact with an allergen (a trigger)

What happens to the airways during an asthma attack?
A
They become narrow and the muscles around them tighten and there is an increase production of mucus
