A
Initial ventral growth from foregut - so endoderm
The mesenchyme of lung buds comes from mesoderm

Name the stages of lung development and briefly describe.
A
Embryonic - lung buds arise, lobar division
Pseudo-glandular - extensive branching
Canalicular - bronchioles arise, alv epithelium arises
Saccular - alveolar ducts & air sacs
Alveolar - secondary septation, increase in capillaries and alveoli
