Ipratropium bromide
A
- for COPD/asthma (not rescue inhaler)
- relax bronchial smooth muscles = bronchodilation
- blocks muscarinic receptors in airways
- given via metered-dose inhaler or nebulizer ALONG WITH ALBUTEROL
- hold breath for 10 seconds after inhale
- no need for spacer for inhalor
