Ipratropium bromide

  • for COPD/asthma (not rescue inhaler)
  • relax bronchial smooth muscles = bronchodilation
  • blocks muscarinic receptors in airways
  • given via metered-dose inhaler or nebulizer ALONG WITH ALBUTEROL
    • hold breath for 10 seconds after inhale
    • no need for spacer for inhalor
