Q

Stages of glycolysis

A

Glucose gets phosphorylised. It’s then split into 2 triose phosphates. NAD becomes NADH and ADP + Pi becomes ATP. It is reduced into pyruvate. Produces pyruvate 2 ATP and 2 NAD

Q

stages of the link reaction

A

each pyruvate is oxidised by removing hydrogen. hydrogen is accepted by NAD to form NADH. CO2 is removed from each pyruvate. 2 acetyl groups formed. Coenzyme A is added to make acetyl CoA.
